Culud Brutha || Print
Inspired by the beauty in brwn skinned men and boys, particularly with this painting I used my my brother as my muse. At the time we were living together and I noticed that every time he would walk to anywhere throughout the house or even out the door his head was down facing. All I hoped was that he knew how handsome and beautiful he was just passing through life, I brought into this piece his locks, his tattoos and his figure. The colors and overall look of this painting with the fairly simplistic yet dynamic background that pulls your eyes back to the focal point every time makes me enjoy this paint more and more each time. This is my rendition of a brown boy- also known as ‘Culud Brutha.’
